Specialized Rockhopper Pro Mountain Bike 2018 - Hardtail MTB
XC trails await you on the Specialized Pro hardtail MTB. A mountain bike built to get you riding technical trails quickly and at a reasonable price point.
With an A1 SL aluminium frame that’s both lightweight and robust, the Specialized Rockhopper not only looks good, but is built with fun in mind. The Sport XC 29 Geometry optimises the angles of the bike to ensure stability on descents and nimble handling on technical trails and while climbing. A tapered headtube and internal cable routing brings the frame up to date.
The Manitou Markhor fork has 80mm, 90mm or 100mm travel, depending on the bike’s size, so maintaining the same riding experience across the range. The reverse arch design is unique to Manitou and delivers a stiff body for accurate steering. A lightweight spring and KwikToggle damper deliver supple bump control and features a lockout to make climbing that much easier.
Getting you moving is a Shimano Deore/SLX 2x10 speed drivetrain. It gives quick and smooth shifts, while maintaining a high level of reliability even during nasty weather. The Shimano M365 hydraulic disc brakes offer braking performance to rival much more expensive options, keeping you in complete control of your speed.
The double-wall Stout XC 29” rims have a wide, 25mm internal diameter, which helps to fully support the front Specialized Ground Control Sport tyres. The tyres feature Flak Jacket protection to help prevent punctures.
Ride trails with confidence aboard the Specialized Rockhopper Pro 29er.

* Mountain bikes are sized differently to road bikes. Typically, they are sized in inches as the first MTBs were produced in the USA. European brands like Lapierre and Haibike like to use centimetres for all their bikes. The measurements of their mountain bikes doesn’t match their road bikes but are like a simple conversion from the inches measurement. This is why we have included cm measurements in brackets for the Mountain bike column.
Read our bike size guide for more information on sizing.
